It is a tremendous honour to be called upon to document a Potlatch. A few years back, in Alert Bay, I was asked to “capture everything”, which resulted in over 25 hours of video. The is the antithesis of an Instagram Reel! At one time this ceremony was deemed illegal, but now the Potlatch is celebrated by many First Nation communities in British Columbia.
